Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 21, 2026
Dr-Jordan-Design ("we," "our," or "us") operates the RT60 Chirp Analyzer mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains how we handle data within our professional acoustic measurement tool.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Our primary philosophy is Local Processing. We do not use cloud-based analysis for your measurements.
A. Microphone Data (Audio Recordings)
- Purpose: The App requires microphone access to capture Room Impulse Responses (IR) via Sine Sweeps (Chirps). This is essential for calculating RT60, STI, and other acoustic parameters.
- Privacy: All digital signal processing (Deconvolution, RTA filtering, and Schroeder Integration) is performed locally on your device.
- Transmission: Raw audio samples are never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. Recordings are held in temporary memory for processing.
B. Technical Device Data
We may access basic device information (OS version, device model) solely to optimize DSP performance for specific hardware architectures (e.g., SIMD AVX or NEON optimization).
C. Generated Reports
Measurement reports (HTML/SVG/JSON) are stored in the App's secure local cache. These files remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share them via the system share sheet.
2. Permissions
To function correctly as a Class 1 measurement tool, the App requests:
- RECORD_AUDIO: To capture acoustic signals.
- MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: To bypass system-level processing (like Automatic Gain Control) to ensure measurement linearilty.
- INTERNET: Only used for external links (e.g., "Visit Website"). No measurement data is ever uploaded.
3. Data Safety & Third Parties
- No Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking or behavioral analytics SDKs.
- No Advertising: The App does not contain third-party advertisements or trackers.
- No Sharing: We do not sell or share any user data. Any sharing of reports is strictly user-initiated.
D. Account Information & Authentication
The following sections apply to users of our upcoming online services and registered accounts.
To provide license management and access to Full Mode features, we collect and store the following information on our secure servers:
- Profile Data: We store your Username, Real Name, and Contact Address.
- Contact Information: Your Email Address and Phone Number are stored to facilitate account recovery, licensing support, and technical communications.
- Security Credentials:
- Passwords: We do not store your actual password. We only store a secure, one-way cryptographic hash. This ensures your password cannot be recovered or read by us.
- Transmission: All credentials are transmitted using industry-standard HTTPS encryption.
- JWT Authentication: Upon successful login, a JSON Web Token (JWT) is issued. This token is stored locally on your device using hardware-backed encryption (Android KeyStore / iOS Keychain) and is used to authorize your requests without re-sending your password.
- Data Control: You may contact us at any time to request a copy of your stored data or to request the permanent deletion of your account.
4. Demo vs. Full Mode
- Demo Mode: No account or personal data is required. Processing is limited to the 400Hz to 4kHz range.
- Full Mode: Credentials provided for full mode are verified locally. We do not track individual usage sessions.
